VOODOOTRON is the new project from Glaswegian-born Londoner Gil De Ray – and Parisian-born Helsinki resident, Benjamin Floor Trauma.  “The Gun Club on mushrooms” is how COLD LIPS’ DJ Chris Rotter describes it, but with elements of Ray Manzarek’s piano for The Doors, and the gnarling bass of Suicide, with all the beauty of acid-house balearico – you’ll find a bit of LCD Soundsystem, Nicholas Jarr, The Clash – it’s got the full range…

This will be their first ever live show – and they’ll be on around 9.30pm…

Tonight also celebrates the dark synth power duo, SEX CELLS – this is the release of their debut single, ARE YOU READY – hell yeah.  These two model in the current edition of COLD LIPS – in our first real (anti) fashion shoot…get your edition tonight, for a fiver instead of a tenner.

The party is free to enter… we bring love.

AND IT DOESN’T GET BETTER THAN THE RARE DJ SETS we’re hosting tonight.

DOUGLAS HART is the cinephile filmmaker who was on the cover of our free poster edition (III) – he’s on the wheels of steel at 8.20pm –  Doug left school to play the bass with the Scottish progression of the Velvet Underground,  indie originators, The Jesus and Mary Chain (who Bobby G, from Primal Scream played drums for).

AND NONE OTHER than LOL HAMMOND – who started the acid house rave unit: Spiral Tribe – who opposed the corporate superclub Tory bosh bosh crap – and proceeded to run The Drum Club – put out records – host MASS in the church in Brixton – before becoming the chief composer and music supervisor at VERTIGO FILMS – looking forward to hearing him.
